The best diving site is the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, close to Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah County. It was named after the country’s first prime minister and covers a surface of 50km². it was declared national park as early as 1974, so its flora, fauna and marine life, protected by the government through Sabah Park, have reached an impressive diversity.

The recent restructuration and the high professionalism of the instructors working here have turned the park in one of the most popular diving sites on the island. All the tourists visiting Kota Kinabalu discover scuba diving and fall in love with it, returning over and over again.

Measuring 15km² Gaya Island, as Pulau Gaya is known in English, exceeds the surface of the other four islands and shelters a stilt village on its eastern shore, close to the city. Day 1
  • Meet at our dive store at Jesselton Point ferry terminal at 8:30AM on tour day.
  • The instructor will give you a safety briefing and an overview of the skill circuit you need to complete before going for the first dive
  • You will then go to chest height water where you will learn how to breathe with the scuba equipment
  • learn to equalize the air spaces in your body, mask clearing, and out of air emergency procedures
  • Once you learnt the basics, you will then descend to a maximum depth of 12 meters
  • You will make a beach entry and dive for around 30-45minutes depending on how long the air lasts for (a general dive will last for 45minutes)
  • The first dive is over the training reef, where people say there are more fish here than the other dive site, less coral but plenty of fish. You will finish the first session around 11.30am
  • We will then go to one of the island in the marine park for lunch & rest
  • After lunch, we complete the afternoon dive from the boat to a maximum depth of 10 – 12 meters lasting for 45 minutes
  • We will return to the KK jetty around 4pm. The second dive provides a mass variety of coral, and fish
