Layang Layang Island

Summer already arrived and a few days’ vacation on the splendid Layang Layang Island from the Malaysia’s Archipelago of Borneo is the perfect way of spending a good quality time in a fabulous natural decor, far away from all the stress and pollution of the city.

Thirteen atolls of different sizes are known under the same name, but all the tourist activities are concentrated on the biggest on them. It takes about an hour and a half to get there by air, and the arrival point is the airport from Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Borneo’s Sabah district. The connection between the island and the mainland is ensured by charters that come back and forth several times a week.

If you are not completely ready to give up the commodities of your life back home, you can be pleasantly surprised to discover that the chalets on the Layang Layang Island provide you excellent conditions, with hot water showers, ceiling fans and even Internet access.

Great Crested Terns, Sooty Terns and especially Brown Boobies come and nest here in great number, and, if you are a passionate bird watcher, you can observe them in their natural habitat.

Water sports, especially diving, are one of the reasons why this place became such a popular tourist destination over the past few years. PADI-certified instructors work at the diving center on the island and, besides guiding and assisting you during “wall diving” or scuba diving sessions, they also organize certification courses for those who are interested in improving their skills.

The equipment you need can be rented from the center, and it is the same for underwater-shooting cameras, vital when it comes to filming the amazing variety of creatures populating these waters.

We provide excellent services at accessible prices and we do our best to turn your Borneo stay into an incredible, one of a kind experience. Be prepared to discover the charm of Layang Layang Island and to enjoy the fun of an exotic vacation by booking it with us.
